Obesity Prevention and Control: Interventions in Community Settings
This resource, produced by the Community Guide, includes the Community Preventive Services Task Force’s recommended interventions for obesity prevention in community settings.  Among the reviewed interventions are programs designed to reduce screen time, technology-based strategies, and interventions specific to work-site and school settings.

 

The County Health Rankings & Roadmaps
This website will guide you through an array of policies and programs that can improve health.  The site reviews and assesses research to rate the effectiveness of a broad variety of strategies that can affect health (including factors that can lead to obesity) through changes to: health behaviors, clinical care, social and economic factors, and the physical environment.

 

Historical Dietary Guidance: Digital Collection
“The United States government has published dietary advice for over one hundred years. In response to popular interest in these documents, the National Agricultural Library has collected, digitized, and united them into a single online tool, the Historical Dietary Guidance Digital Collection.

This collection allows users to browse and search the full text of over 900 historical and contemporary federal dietary guidance publications. As a part of the National Agricultural Library Digital Collections, it also provides reliable, long-term online access to this content.”

 

Center for a Livable Future: Food Policy Resources
“The Food Policy Networks Project at the Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future (CLF)– has been keeping tabs on some of the great work being done and can now make all those documents, websites, studies, and contact information available for all. The two new features include a database of policies, how-to guides, case studies and more, as well as a directory of food policy councils (FPCs) in the U.S., Canada, and First Nations.”

The Rudd Center collects publications, policy briefs and reports, and legislation related to food and obesity.

 

WHO eLENA
The WHO e-Library of Evidence for Nutrition Actions (eLENA) is an online library of evidence-informed guidance for nutrition interventions. It is a single point of reference for the latest nutrition guidelines, recommendations and related information including supporting materials such as scientific evidence, background materials and commentaries from invited experts.
